From One Phone Photo to a Cinematic Persian Carpet Film: A Full Zoviz Canvas Walkthrough

From One Phone Photo to a Cinematic Persian Carpet Film: A Full Zoviz Canvas Walkthrough

A single, slightly blurry phone photo of a Persian rug became the seed for an entire cinematic campaign: a photorealistic short film pairing a hand-woven carpet with a young woman in traditional Iranian dress, set across an abandoned village house and the rolling steppe of Turkmen Sahra.

Every frame was produced inside a Zoviz Canvas board named "Horan Persian Carpet Ads Template," where each prompt, image, and clip stayed connected on one infinite workspace.

This walkthrough reconstructs the process step by step, quoting every prompt verbatim and showing the result it produced.

The Goal: A Believable Carpet, Not a Catalog Render

The objective was demanding: build a fully realistic, high-quality video of a natural Persian carpet beside a girl in traditional Iranian clothing, convincing enough to anchor a real advertising campaign.

The core need was authenticity. Instead of a sterile product render, the project called for believable skin, sun-faded wool, wind-moved grass, and characters that stay identical from shot to shot.

Meeting that need meant solving consistency — the same face, the same horse, the same rug — across dozens of generated frames, and that single constraint shaped every decision made on the board.

How the Workflow Is Structured

The board reads left to right as a production line. A reference carpet is created, cleaned into a studio hero, then joined by four "reference sheets" that lock the cast and locations.

Those references feed eight storyboard contact sheets, and each storyboard is finally expanded into a structured shot list and rendered as motion. Two model engines do the heavy lifting.

Stage 1 — From Amateur Snapshot to Studio Hero

The very first prompt deliberately chased imperfection. It was a brand-new step with no parent, describing a casual listing photo rather than polished art.

"A raw, unedited phone photo of a large Persian hand-woven carpet — deep-red ground, intricate indigo-and-gold central medallion, dense floral vine border, visible wool pile texture, hand-knotted fringe at both ends — thrown loosely over a wooden chair back in someone's living room, slightly wrinkled and not fully unfolded, ordinary daylight through a window mixing with warm indoor bulb light creating a mixed color cast, slight motion blur, off-center crop, visible dust and a stray thread, mild grain/ISO noise, looks like a photo snapped quickly to send to a friend — absolutely not styled, no studio lighting, no symmetry, pure amateur-listing energy."

The result was exactly that: a rug draped over a chair in a sunlit living room, believable enough to pass as a real snapshot.

The second prompt was a refinement of the first, feeding that photo back in as a product reference and asking for a clean studio version of the same rug.

"Using the uploaded photo as the exact product reference, regenerate the same Persian hand-woven carpet — identical deep-red ground, indigo-and-gold medallion, floral vine border, fringe detail — as a professional studio product photograph. Carpet fully unfolded and laid flat, shot from directly above with a slight angle to show pile texture and depth, large soft diffused overhead key light plus a raking secondary light low across the surface to catch every knot and fiber, completely clean neutral surrounding surface with zero clutter, ultra-sharp macro-level detail on the wool pile and fringe, editorial catalog quality, vertical 9:16 composition with negative space at the top third for later text overlay. No people, no extra background elements."

The output was the campaign's hero rug — unfolded, evenly lit, with empty space at the top reserved for future ad copy.

Stage 2 — Casting the World

With the rug set, four new steps built the recurring cast and locations. Each was a fresh generation designed as a consistency reference — a multi-panel sheet so later scenes could reuse the exact same subject. The first introduced the lead character.

"Full character reference sheet, six-panel turnaround layout on a single neutral mid-grey studio backdrop, consistent soft natural window-style lighting across all panels (not flat beauty-dish lighting), same subject in every panel: a young village woman, mid-to-late twenties, with freckled, overwhelmingly pale white skin showing real imperfections — visible pores, slightly uneven skin tone, a couple of small blemishes, natural asymmetry in the face rather than airbrushed symmetry, dark red patterned headscarf tied in a simple village style with a few loose, slightly frizzy strands of hair escaping at the temple, wearing a bold red scarf tied and wrapped bra-style snugly across the chest — the red wrap sits as the clear focal point of the outfit, vivid against her pale skin — paired with a short red a-line skirt with matching hand-embroidered trim at the hem, plain leather sandals. Shy reserved posture, flat unsmiling expression, direct gaze to camera in every panel — the gaze should feel a little tired and unguarded, not posed. Panels: (1) front-facing portrait, (2) 3/4 angle portrait, (3) full profile, (4) full body standing, (5) close-up of hands, (6) close-up of the headscarf and the open vest/red wrap detail at the neckline. Same exact face, freckle pattern, skin tone, and proportions in every panel — this is a consistency reference sheet, not six different women. No text, no labels, no logos."

A second new prompt built the interior location — the weathered house where the weaving scenes take place.

"Wide establishing reference image of the interior of a weathered, long-abandoned old Iranian village house: rough clay and mudbrick walls with a warm tan plaster finish, cracked and flaking in places, an exposed rustic ceiling made of tightly-laid round unpeeled wood poles, built-in arched wall alcoves/niches recessed directly into the plaster, dusty and mostly empty save for a cracked clay jug or old woven basket forgotten in one, an old shuttered wood-framed window with a torn, sun-faded curtain — once a warm rust or orange color, now bleached and threadbare — shifting faintly in a draft, traditional Persian carpets already covering the floor including a large red-ground carpet with a central medallion, their colors sun-bleached and faded with age, laid over a worn painted floor whose original color peeks through at the edges, a second smaller carpet or kilim hanging on the wall as the room's only ornament, an old wooden hand loom positioned near the window with a partially finished carpet stretched on it, a section of shutter broken letting a single hard shaft of daylight cut diagonally across the room, visible dust motes floating and catching the light, cobwebs in the ceiling corners, no furniture, cushions, or bedding — the space fully uninhabited and rusted rather than cozy, warm and cool light mixing naturally, cinematic but believable. No people, no animals, no text."

The third new prompt built the horse, again as a strict turnaround sheet.

"Full character reference sheet, six-panel turnaround layout on a single neutral mid-grey studio backdrop, consistent soft even lighting across all panels, same subject in every panel: a large black horse with a glossy, deeply reflective coat, true-to-life proportions (approximately 16 hands / large adult riding-horse scale), well-defined muscle structure, long flowing black mane and tail. Panels: (1) full side profile standing, (2) front-facing head-on portrait, (3) 3/4 angle full body, (4) close-up of the head and eye, (5) close-up of the mane and neck texture, (6) close-up of the coat and shoulder muscle sheen. Same exact horse, coloring, and proportions in every panel — this is a consistency reference sheet, not six different horses. No text, no labels, no logos."

The fourth new prompt built the exterior landscape that ties the outdoor scenes together.

"Wide establishing reference image of the vast grassland steppe of Turkmen Sahra, Iran: deep, velvety folds of layered green hills with soft rounded ridgelines rolling toward a hazy blue-grey horizon (true to real Turkmen Sahra aerial photography — not flat prairie, the land itself ripples), a huge open sky filled with dramatic soft clouds, tall wind-combed grass in the foreground with a narrow worn dirt/grass footpath winding through it, no lake, a small loose group of horses grazing quietly in the middle distance for scale, no buildings nearby except a single weathered old village house sitting tiny and distant on the far horizon line, warm directional low sun creating long shadows across the hills, a light breeze visibly moving through the grass, natural and unstaged, cinematic but believable outdoor lighting, sense of overwhelming scale and openness. No people, no text."

Stage 3 — Storyboarding Every Scene as a Contact Sheet

Stage 3 combined the references into eight storyboard "contact sheets," each a single image holding six vertical keyframes. Every sheet was a new composite step that pulled the locked carpet, girl, horse, and locations into one coherent look.

The eight sheets covered:

  • An interior weaving sequence at the loom
  • An outdoor riding sequence with girl and horse
  • An artistic carpet-and-horse-on-the-land study
  • A product-hero sequence, later re-run a second time as a refinement
  • An isolated texture and detail sheet
  • An isolated nature sheet of the steppe

The interior storyboard prompt reads:

"Generate a single image contact sheet, six vertical 9:16 panels arranged in a 2x3 grid, each panel a keyframe from a cinematic realistic interior film, using the referenced girl, carpet, and old village house location for full consistency. Weathered, abandoned Iranian village house throughout, mudbrick walls, faded carpets already on the floor, single hard shaft of daylight through a broken shutter, visible dust motes. Panel 1: wide establishing shot of the loom and the diagonal light shaft, girl seated at the loom in silhouette. Panel 2: medium shot, girl's hands working the loom, threads and wool visible, focused expression. Panel 3: extreme macro of the carpet's wool pile and knot texture as her fingers pass over it. Panel 4: slow dolly-in portrait, girl pausing her work to look directly at camera, flat unsmiling expression, dust motes drifting through the light beside her. Panel 5: close-up of the finished carpet section catching the hard light, medallion pattern glowing warmly against the faded floor carpets beneath it. Panel 6: wide handheld shot, girl standing and draping the finished carpet over her shoulder, walking toward a doorway with exterior light beyond it. Consistent subject, consistent light, no text or labels in the image."

The outdoor riding storyboard prompt reads:

"Generate a single image contact sheet, six vertical 9:16 panels arranged in a 2x3 grid, each panel a keyframe from a cinematic realistic outdoor film, using the referenced girl, horse, and Turkmen Sahra steppe location for full consistency. Golden-hour rolling green steppe throughout, endless hills, huge sky, tall grass, warm low directional light. Panel 1: aerial establishing shot high above the endless rolling steppe, girl and horse tiny in frame, a distant weathered village house visible on the horizon. Panel 2: extreme wide low-angle shot, dutch tilt, horse running freely through tall grass, girl watching from a distance. Panel 3: slow-motion-style riding shot, girl astride the horse at a gentle canter across the open steppe, her headscarf ribbon and the horse's mane both floating in the wind. Panel 4: handheld medium shot, girl walking beside the horse, one hand resting on his shoulder, both facing partly toward camera. Panel 5: wide symmetrical shot, girl and horse standing still side by side atop a low rise with rolling hills behind them, both facing camera, girl's expression flat and unsmiling. Panel 6: low 12mm-style wide shot, girl standing alone in the grass foreground, horse blurred running in the background. Consistent subject, consistent light, no text or labels in the image."

The remaining six storyboard prompts followed the identical formula for the other scenes:

"Generate a single image contact sheet, six vertical 9:16 panels arranged in a 2x3 grid, each panel a keyframe from a cinematic product-hero film, using the referenced carpet, girl, horse, and Turkmen Sahra steppe for full consistency. Golden-hour rolling steppe throughout. Panel 1: smooth pan across the carpet laid flat in the grass, medallion pattern catching the low sun. Panel 2: extreme macro of the carpet's fringe moving gently in the breeze. Panel 3: wide shot, the carpet draped over the horse's back like a saddle blanket, girl standing beside him. Panel 4: slow dolly-in portrait of the girl alone, direct unsmiling gaze, carpet visible laid in the grass behind her. Panel 5: close two-shot, girl's hand resting on the horse's neck, carpet corner visible in foreground, both facing camera. Panel 6: wide symmetrical hero shot, girl and horse centered with the carpet fully laid out in front of them like a red carpet, rolling hills and dramatic low sun flare behind. Consistent subject, consistent light, no text or labels in the image."

The product-hero storyboard was then re-run a second time as a refinement, using the exact same prompt text again to fish for a stronger frame:

The artistic carpet-and-horse study was a new step:

"Generate a single image contact sheet, six vertical 9:16 panels arranged in a 2x3 grid, each panel an artistic keyframe exploring the visual connection between the carpet, the horse, and the land, using the referenced carpet, horse, girl, and Turkmen Sahra steppe for full consistency. Golden-hour rolling steppe throughout. Panel 1: extreme wide dutch-tilt shot, the carpet laid open across the grass on a slope, the horse standing at the far edge of it, huge sky above, dramatic asymmetric composition. Panel 2: slow-motion-style wide shot, the horse walking directly across the laid-out carpet, one hoof mid-step on the wool pile, grass and carpet fringe both catching wind. Panel 3: extreme macro, rack-focus feel, the horse's hoof resting on the carpet fringe, wool fiber and hoof texture side by side. Panel 4: bird's-eye top-down aerial shot, the carpet fully laid out flat in the grass with the horse standing beside it and the girl small in the corner of frame, graphic top-down composition. Panel 5: wide silhouette shot, the horse standing just behind the laid-out carpet against a blazing low sun, backlit mane catching flare, painterly. Panel 6: close artistic shot, the horse's mane blowing sideways so a few strands drift across the carpet's fringe, both textures overlapping in frame, shallow focus. Consistent subjects, consistent light, no text or labels in the image."

An isolated texture-and-detail sheet was a new step:

"Generate a single image contact sheet, six vertical 9:16 panels arranged in a 2x3 grid, each panel an isolated texture/detail shot with no narrative connection required between panels, using the referenced carpet, girl, and horse for consistency. Panel 1: extreme macro of the carpet's wool pile, individual fibers catching raking light. Panel 2: close-up of the carpet's hand-knotted fringe against a dark background. Panel 3: extreme macro of the horse's glossy black coat, light sliding across the muscle contour. Panel 4: close-up of the horse's mane strands moving slightly in the wind. Panel 5: close-up of the girl's hands resting against the carpet's edge, freckled skin against red wool. Panel 6: macro of dust motes drifting through a hard shaft of light inside the abandoned village house. Consistent subjects, no text or labels in the image."

An isolated nature sheet was a new step:

"Generate a single image contact sheet, six vertical 9:16 panels arranged in a 2x3 grid, each panel an isolated nature shot with no narrative connection required between panels, using the referenced Turkmen Sahra steppe location for consistency. Panel 1: extreme wide golden-hour shot of endless layered green hills fading into a hazy horizon. Panel 2: close-up of tall grass swaying in the wind, backlit by low sun. Panel 3: aerial shot slowly drifting low over the rolling grassland. Panel 4: macro of dew on a blade of grass, catching golden light. Panel 5: wide shot of the sun low on the horizon over the hills, birds crossing frame. Panel 6: slow-motion-style shot of wind rippling across a full hillside of tall grass at dusk. Consistent light, consistent location, no text or labels in the image."

A final girl-movement storyboard was a new step:

"Generate a single image contact sheet, six vertical 9:16 panels arranged in a 2x3 grid, each panel a keyframe from a cinematic realistic outdoor film centered on the girl's movement, using the referenced girl, horse, and Turkmen Sahra steppe for full consistency. Golden-hour rolling steppe throughout. Panel 1: wide aerial shot circling slowly, girl riding the horse at a canter across the open grassland, seen from above and slightly behind. Panel 2: close-up shot, girl riding, wind in her hair and headscarf, focused but calm expression, reins in hand, horse's motion blurred beneath her. Panel 3: wide shot, girl freshly dismounted, standing beside the horse, beginning to turn and step, her long red dress starting to lift with the movement. Panel 4: slow-motion-style medium shot, girl mid-twirl, her dress fabric flaring outward, headscarf ribbon trailing, horse standing calmly just behind her. Panel 5: wide artistic shot, golden backlight, girl dancing beside the horse with the carpet laid out nearby in the grass, her silhouette and the horse's silhouette overlapping softly. Panel 6: close intimate portrait, girl mid-turn glancing just off-camera, dress caught mid-motion, horse softly blurred in the background. Consistent subject, consistent light, no text or labels in the image."

Stage 4 — Turning Storyboards Into Motion

Each storyboard was then converted into video with Kling v3 Omni in "Customize" storyboard mode.

The pattern repeated for every scene: a plain-language brief was written first, then refined into a structured six-shot JSON list with per-shot durations and <<<image_N>>> reference tags that point back to the locked carpet, girl, horse, and steppe.

Writing prompts at this level of control is a discipline explored further in How to Write AI Image and Video Prompts.

Outdoor riding scene

The natural-language brief:

"Six cinematic outdoor beats for a Persian carpet campaign film, vertical 9:16, no dialogue, no music, golden-hour Turkmen Sahra steppe consistent throughout. Opens on a high aerial establishing shot descending toward a girl and a black horse standing tiny on the endless rolling grassland, a weathered village house distant on the horizon, then an extreme wide dutch-tilt shot of the horse running freely through tall grass while the girl watches from a distance. Continues into a slow-motion tracking shot of the girl riding the horse at a gentle canter, her headscarf and his mane floating in the wind, then a handheld medium shot of her walking beside him with a hand on his shoulder. The final two beats are a wide symmetrical static shot of them standing side by side atop a grassy rise facing camera with her expression flat and unsmiling, and a low 12mm-style shot of her alone in the grass foreground with the horse blurred running behind her. Keep the girl's face/freckles/wardrobe and the horse's coat/proportions fully consistent with the reference images. Natural wind movement throughout, no exaggerated action beyond what's specified."

Opens on a wide aerial shot slowly circling as the girl rides the horse at a canter across the open grassland, then a close-up of her riding with wind in her hair, calm and focused, the horse's motion blurred beneath her. Continues into a wide shot of her freshly dismounted beginning to turn and step, her long red dress lifting with the movement, then a slow-motion-style medium shot of her mid-twirl with her dress flaring outward and the horse standing calmly behind her. The final two beats are a wide artistic golden-backlit shot of her dancing beside the horse with the carpet laid out nearby, silhouettes overlapping softly, and a close intimate portrait of her mid-turn glancing just off-camera with her dress caught mid-motion and the horse blurred behind her. Keep the girl's face/freckles/dress and the horse's coat/proportions fully consistent with the reference images. Natural wind and light only, no exaggerated movement."

Product-hero scene

The natural-language brief:

"Six cinematic product-hero beats for a Persian carpet campaign film, vertical 9:16, no dialogue, no music, golden-hour Turkmen Sahra steppe consistent throughout. Opens on a smooth low pan across the carpet laid flat in the grass, its pattern catching the light, then an extreme macro of the hand-knotted fringe moving in the breeze. Continues into a wide static shot of the carpet draped over the horse's back like a saddle blanket with the girl standing beside him, then a slow dolly-in portrait of the girl alone with a flat unsmiling gaze, the carpet laid out behind her. The final two beats are a close two-shot of her hand resting on the horse's neck with a carpet corner in the foreground, and a wide symmetrical hero shot of girl and horse centered with the full carpet laid out before them, rolling hills and a dramatic sun flare behind. Keep the carpet's pattern, the girl's face, and the horse's coat fully consistent with the reference images. Natural wind and light only, no exaggerated movement."

Several scenes, including the product-hero and girl-focused sequences, were rendered more than once to select the strongest take.

The finished clips in the board's history confirm the payoff: consistent characters, faded wool, and golden-hour light across every scene

Conclusion

The Horan Persian Carpet project shows how a single ordinary photograph can grow into a full, believable advertising film without a camera, a set, or a crew. By separating the work into clear stages a hero product shot, locked reference sheets, storyboard contact sheets, and structured video shot lists the board kept photorealism and consistency intact from the first prompt to the last clip.

The prompts quoted above are the entire recipe, reproduced exactly, and the connected workspace is what made chaining them into one coherent campaign repeatable.

FAQ

Which AI models generated the images and video?

All still images used GPT Image 2 at High quality; every video scene was rendered with Kling v3 Omni at Pro 1080p, 9:16, in 15 second, six-shot storyboards.

What is the difference between a storyboard and the video prompt?

The storyboard is a single still image of six keyframes used to preview a scene; the video prompt is a structured JSON shot list that turns those keyframes into timed, moving beats.

Why start from an intentionally low quality photo?

Beginning with an amateur snapshot preserved the rug's real proportions and pattern, which were then refined into a clean studio hero without inventing an unrealistic product.
