Today we're launching Zoviz's Canvas on Product Hunt. and we wanted our own community to hear about it first.
Canvas is the newest addition to Zoviz: an infinite, node-based workspace where a creative idea becomes a finished asset without ever leaving the page. Instead of bouncing between five different tools to generate an image, tweak it, and turn it into a video, you build the whole thing as one connected flow; and if you change something upstream, the rest of the pipeline reruns automatically.
How it works
Canvas is built around a small set of nodes you connect together:
- Prompt: The text that drives everything downstream
- Image Generation: Turns a prompt into an image
- Image Edit: Modifies an existing image with plain-language instructions, like swapping a background or changing a color
- Video Generation: Animates a still image, generates video straight from text, or edits an existing clip
Wire them together, run the whole pipeline with one click, and if you want to try a different angle, just change the prompt and rerun; no need to rebuild the flow from scratch.
What's new: Seedance 2.0
This release brings the Seedance 2.0 video models directly into Canvas, and it's the biggest capability we've added since launch.
The video node now automatically detects what you give it and routes it to the right mode, no manual switching required:
- AI Video Generator: Generate a video straight from a prompt
- AI Image Generator: Animate a still image into motion
- Video Editing: Transform an existing video with AI
That means one node can cover an entire video workflow, whether you're starting from nothing, from a single frame, or from footage you already have.
Why we built it
Most AI image tools generate one image at a time. The moment you need a family of related visuals, a product shot, a few edited variations, and a short video cut of the best one, you're back to juggling separate tools and separate prompts, copying outputs by hand between them.
Canvas was built to close that gap: generate, edit, chain edits together, and turn a still into motion, all in the same view, all reusable the next time you need something similar.
